Southside Virginia Community College offers many other programs. These programs include High School Dual Enrollment, Workforce Training Programs, and The Campus Within Walls correctional facility program. Southside Virginia Community College hosts The Governor’s School of Southside Virginia on each of the main campuses as well as Old Dominion University's distance learning program.
Programs
Southside Virginia Community College offers multiple types of programs in a wide range of fields.
The Associate of Arts and Sciences (AA&S) degree is designed for students to complete credits that will count towards their degrees after transferring to a four-year school. The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree was created in consultation with business and industry partners to prepare students for a wide range of career opportunities immediately upon completion of the degree.
For students who need coursework to enhance skills applicable to the workplace, SVCC offers short term certificates and career studies certificates.
