Overview
Adult Education offers instruction for adult learners in basic skills, GED® credential, English language learning, workforce training, and integrated education and training to effectively prepare individuals for college and careers.
We serve the counties of Amelia, Brunswick, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward.

It depends on your level of commitment and your current educational background.
When do classes meet?

Can you assist me if I have a high school diploma but need help with required placement testing or other workplace readiness skills?
Yes, we can help you review for placement tests, such as VPT (Virginia Placement Test), ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery), and other needed academic/workplace skills.
How much does the Adult Education Program cost?
The program is free! All GED® credential and other test fees are paid as long as the student meets program requirements.
What do I need for the class?
Along with regular attendance and a positive attitude, students need a smartphone, laptop, or tablet, and access to the internet. Be sure to complete your Zoom training before class.
