Virginia State Employee Assistance Fund
The Virginia State Employee Assistance Fund (VSEAF) provides grants to active full-time and part-time employees who have been with the state workforce for a minimum of one year. Grants are awarded to employees suffering from a financial crisis or unplanned emergency/event that impacts the employee or family members living in the employee’s residence.
Examples of ways that VSEAF grants can help:
Medical bills from an unexpected, temporary illness or injury not covered by insurance
Funeral expenses for an immediate family living in the home of an active state employee
Repairing property damage to the state employee’s primary residence that isn’t covered by insurance
