Due to impending inclement weather, Southside Virginia Community College may temporarily close to help ensure the safety of our students and employees. While on-campus services will be unavailable if there is a closure, students can continue to manage important Spring 2026 needs using the resources below.

Please note that response times may be delayed if there is a closure, but staff will respond as soon as possible, as conditions allow.

Workforce Fastforward Registration Assistance

Students interested in Workforce programs, including FastForward, should complete the appropriate Workforce or FastForward inquiry form to request information or begin the registration process.

Academic Support with Classes

Faculty will communicate course-specific updates through Canvas during the weather closure. Faculty will post their contact information for you to use. Students should monitor Canvas and their student email regularly for:
