Southside Virginia Community College Announces Events Honoring Black History Month
Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) is proud to announce a series of educational events and excursions throughout February to celebrate Black History Month. Join us as we celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of African Americans with these activities.
Community Events: Rosenwald School Building Project Display
The public is warmly invited to explore a display detailing the historic collaboration between Booker T. Washington and Julius Rosenwald. This partnership resulted in the construction of thousands of schools for African American children across the South, including 382 schools in Virginia alone.
