Program Information
Applications for our August 2026 ADN Program will be accepted in Spring 2026 Semester, from February 2, 2026 - April 15, 2026. Weekend option Spring 2026 applications will be accepted September 15, 2025 to October 31, 2025. Prior to submitting an application, it is mandatory to complete our virtual Nursing Information Session, specific to the year to which you are applying. The video applies to both our ADN and PN programs.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Nursing Program equips the student with the knowledge and skills needed to begin professional practice in the care, counseling, and education of healthcare consumers in a variety of settings.
Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the student is eligible to take the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensing Exam-Registered Nurse). The SVCC Nursing Program assists in providing a competent entry-level Registered Nursing workforce for health care centers and providers in Southside Virginia.

Program Outcomes
Program Outcomes, NCLEX Pass Rates, And Student Achievement Data
1. The program's 3-year mean for the NCLEX-RN will be at or above the national mean for the same 3-year period.
2. Sixty percent of the nursing students will complete the program within three years of entrance.
3. Eighty percent of new graduates will be employed within six months after graduation.
