New Student Orientation (NSO) offers a great jump start to your new semester. Our 1-hour sessions are designed to be informative and customized to our attendees' needs.
The SVCC New Student Orientation dates and times are:
Virtual (For Summer 2025 New Students)
May 15 - 5:00 PM

July 17 - 1:00 PM
July 24 - 10:30 AM
August 21 - 10:30 AM
John H. Daniel Campus (200 Daniel Road, Keysville, VA 23947)

After each 1-hour session, students will have the opportunity to:
register for fall classes,
complete financial aid,
take a campus tour,
receive their SVCC student ID,
and receive help with setting up their MySVCC account.

Health Sciences Sessions - Interested in applying to one of SVCC's nursing programs? Join Mrs. Amanda Shook, Health Sciences Counselor, for a special health sciences session immediately following the 1-hour NSO session on:

Panther Parents and Partners - Attending college is a huge step. We invited parents and the support systems of our future Panthers to take the journey with them and attend the Panther Parents and Partners session on:

Thursday, July 24th at 10:30 AM (John H. Daniel Campus)
The Panther Parents and Partners sessions will offer helpful tips and information from our college leadership followed by a Q&A period.
